1948 Carry-ALL “Jet” hood ornament Repair
This pot metal Carry-All “Jet” hood ornament belongs to a gentlemen that owns an all original ’48 panel carry-all with only 38000 original miles. It has a few upgrades to make it more drive-able.
It came in with the LT wing broken off due to the previous replating shop had attempted to sand the external rot from the surface. This is a common practice of replating. Unfortunately this shop took no care in saving any of the original metal and pretty much ruined the RT wing. After several attempts to save it, it was clear that it was too far gone and thus we created a new RT wing.
